Eunice Menard Morvant, our beloved mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend was reunited with her husband, parents, and other loved ones on Saturday, the 27th of February, 2010 at Belle Teche Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in New Iberia, Louisiana. She was 91 years old. Eunice was born on the 23rd Of November, 1918 to Clesmae and Ordile Menard. As a former resident of Broussard, Eunice spent the last 37 years as a resident of New Iberia. With her husband, Robley, they embraced the community and formed many lifelong friendships.

Eunice lived a life rich with family and friends. Eunice was always full of varying interests. She enjoyed camping, trips to the casino and loved to cook wonderful meals, especially fried chicken. Of course her happiest moments were the times spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, also her children and extended family members.

Eunice’s family would like to express their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the administration and staff of Belle Teche Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and to AAA Hospice.

She will be greatly missed by her surviving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robley Morvant, parents Clesmae and Ordile Menard, brothers Wiley, Freddie and Jerome Menard.

She is survived by her two children, Larry Morvant and wife Midred and John Ray Morvant , his special Companion, Amanda Gail Duhon both of New Iberia, a brother Dennis Menard and wife Ruby of Breaux Bridge, grandchildren Kim Chriss and husband Tracy, Jennifer Boutte and husband Shane, of New Iberia, great grandchildren Bradley Chriss, Matthew and Sarah Boutte, and Hailey Chriss and fiance’ Bobby Wallace; twelve nieces and nephews

The funeral services will be conducted at two o’clock in the afternoon, Monday the 1st day of March at Acadian Funeral Home. Visitation will begin ten o’clock until service time. Father Blaine Clement will officiate. The interment services will immediately follow, via and escorted cortege, to Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Broussard.
