Funeral services for Ms. Linda L. Sumrall, 56, will be held at Acadian Funeral Home on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at 2:00 PM. Deacon Wade Broussard will officiate. Interment will follow at Holy Family Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday evening from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Saturday morning from 10:00 AM until time of service.
Ms. Sumrall was a volunteer for Snap Safety net for abused persons. She worked for Bruce Foods for many years. She passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2010 at Iberia Medical Center.
She is survived by her two sons Rusty Sumrall and Mikie Sonnier both of New Iberia, three brothers Michael Sumrall of Leesville, Steven Sumrall and wife Scarlette , and Gerald Sumrall and wife Channon all of New Iberia; two sisters Kathleen Legnon of New Iberia and Jenny Romero and husband Joe of Coteau; one grand daughter Brooke Sumrall, a very special friend and Companion Oddie Hebert; along with a number of nieces , nephews and other relatives.
She is preceded in death by her parents Thomas Ervin Sumrall and Patricia Evelyn Nance Sumrall
