A mass of Christian Burial will be held for Eula Theresa Broussard, 87, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church on Saturday, January 2, 2010 at 2:00 PM. Father Charles Langlois will officiate. Visitation will be at Acadian Funeral Home from 9:00 AM until time of service. A rosary will be prayed by the Lay Carmelite Order of the Blessed Virgin Mary at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Holy Family Cemetery.
Mrs. Broussard passed away Wednesday afternoon, December 30, 2009 at the Consolata Home. Mrs. Broussard was a lifelong resident of Vermilion and Iberia Parishes. She was a Lay Carmelite for the Order of the Blessed Virgin Mary, responding to a special call from God, freely and deliberately committing herself to “ live in the following of Jesus Christ.” Involved in the mission of the church, Mrs. Broussard attended mass on a regular basis testifying in deeds of love to God’s presence.
Survivors include five children; Beau Le Camus and Companion Pat Breuer of LoCanda, California, Rudy Le Camus and wife Renee of Cloverdale, California, Randy Le Camus and wife Susan of New Iberia, Sharon Hoffpauir and husband Bill of Lafayette, Carmel Le Camus and Companion Michael Menard of Nunez; one brother Dave Broussard of Meaux, LA; five grandchildren, one great grandchild and a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Broussard was preceded in death by her parents, O’Neal and Ophelia Trahan Broussard , one daughter Loretta Le Camus
